On Saturday, September 24, Conference 3 lay and rostered leaders will have the opportunity to spend time with Bishop Claire Burkat and Sierra Pacific Synod VP Simon Wong. This is the first of similar events that will be held in September and October in all 9 conferences of our synod.
Purpose & Format
The purpose of the event is to ask questions, voice concerns, and genuinely listen to one another. So that everyone will get a chance to do that, there will be one session during which lay people will be given voice and another session during which rostered leaders will be given voice.
Schedule
The day will begin with at 9am with breakfast, followed by a worship service, and two plenary sessions. In-between both plenary sessions, lunch will be served. The event is scheduled to end at 2pm.
Parking
Free parking will available at K Street Garage, beginning at 8:30am. The parking lot next to the church on L Street will be reserved for those with the need of the elevator to access the sanctuary.
Zoom
Online participation in the event is available via Zoom. The link will be made available to those who register for the event. Please note that no additional live streaming of the event will be offered.
Registration
In order to help the organizers prepare for the meals, in-person participants are asked to register via Eventbrite. In order to make the Zoom link available to remote participants, they are being asked to register online, as well.
